Creative Locations is a small family run independent publishing company based at the foothills of the Pennines in Saddleworth, Lancashire. We specialise in both fiction and non-fiction work and we also offer branding development in association with the projects.

Creative Locations was established with the ethos of ‘making publishing available to everyone.’ As a small company we like to work closely with our clients on a one to one basis to bring their vision to fruition. The author is involved every step of the way from conception through to completion. Our company strongly believes that the ‘book’ should remain with the client and as such the copyright of the book remains firmly in the authors name.
In 2013 founder and director Barbara Hegab began to self-publish a set of 16 children’s books called “Policeman Pete”. Having successfully navigated through the self-publishing labyrinth umpteen times during the subsequent years she found that her newly acquired expertise was becoming increasingly sought after by both friends and strangers alike. Barbara was eager to share her experiences and to advise other creative people on the self publishing process to help them to obtain the satisfaction that comes with managing to get you story ‘out there’.
In 2015 Barbara was asked to take on the full publishing process for a number of clients, which caused her to expand and finalise the branding of her company as an independent publishing house which now employs a part-time graphic designer and illustrator and two free-lance editors.
